After lengthy negotiations with the community, 4D Development has decided to withdraw their plans to develop Senior Housing (with retail on the ground floor) for the corner of Washington and 8th avemue. The community's committed involvement from the beginning held the developers feet to the fire concerning legal requirements.
The developer promised that if the community didn't fully support their project they would not move forward. After attempts to modify their project to accomodate the communities vision they found there were still several procedural hoops to jump through and legal requirements to be attended to before they could move forward and so chose to withdraw instead.

Good Morning Laura;
I did not get a response to my question from you regarding support.
After careful consideration I'm sorry to say I have decided to stop this project. I just cannot afford any more red tape and unwarranted technical road blocks .
I'm sure some in the community will sleep better at night knowing that this project will not be built, please send us a copy of the news letter that Todd will be sending out to the community advising them of this action.
I wish you and the community a very happy and healthy holiday season. I hope we can work on other projects in the future. If you have any questions please give me a call.
Regards,
DAVID POURBABA
