Free or Low Cost Alternative Health & Wellness Opportunities for Our Community

The Village Health Foundation is one of our long standing resources for low-cost and free-alternative health care.  They are “a community center committed to improving our clients’ physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. In addition to offering individual treatment and educational programs, we hold group activities, public lectures, workshops, social support seminars.”

Every Saturday they are offering a series of workshops for our community members who are ready to answer the call to Michelle Obama’s national call to health….meditation, kundalini yoga, strength training and nutrition, Zumba, Jazz Dance and Tai Chi.  Their effective acupuncture program can provide relief from and support efforts to overcome overeating, cigarette smoking, alcohol and drug abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder and many other health concerns. Acupuncture is an excellent remedy for backaches and many other maladies.  There is a suggested donation of $10 although No One is turned away for lack of funds.
