The Neighborhood News is Proud to Announce a Collaboration with CityWatch

For the October issue, TNN contacted Ken Draper, the editor of the online Los Angeles news source CityWatch, to ask permission to reprint an article documenting District 10's Councilman and President of City Council Herb Wesson's issues with paying his mortgage.  Mr. Draper was impressed with the work TNN was doing and suggested they might collaborate.  At a productive lunch meeting they discovered a shared vision; a section devoted to neighborhood news from neighborhood sources around Los Angeles.

Starting in October, TNN articles will be uploaded to their own page on CityWatchla.com with an eye to slowly expanding and including news from other neighborhoods.  TNN will also begin a new section in their newsmagazine and online, called CityWatch using their reports on city focused articles pertinent to TNN readers.

CityWatch is a multi-media website (text, audio/video) updated 24/7 on CityWatchLA.com and via e-blast twice weekly direct to over 112,000+ opt-in subscribers.  Their subscribers are among the most influential people in the city (politicos, developers, unions, business leaders, and everyday stakeholders) who are interested in a growing LA and are actively involved at the rate of 3.5 million hits per week.

TNN and CityWatch are excited about expanding the opportunity to inform and hopefully inspire Los Angeles residents to connect with each other and become actively engaged in their communities and their city.
