On Saturday, December 16, 2017, Jefferson Park held the 5th Annual Kids Holiday Festival. Local residents and kids from five schools along Jefferson Bvd. were up bright and early, eager to start jumping in the combo jumper slide, play video games inside a mobile game truck, get their faces painted and take family photos with the toy gifts donated by local businesses and churches such as Westside Loan Office, the Rios Clementi Hale Studios, Nationwide & Bulldog Realtors, NuBuilding Blocks Preschool, and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Sandra Pruitt spearheaded the effort working with co-sponsors UNNC, where she had once been a member. She was also supported through her close affiliations with the 6th Avenue School and the Friends of Jefferson Branch Library. Sandra’s efforts paid off beautifully as neighbors and friends and kids had the wonderful experience of coming together to enjoy each other, strengthen their community and have Fun!
