Tony Shibata closed the doors to the Atomic Cafe on Washington, west of La Brea. The Atomic opened just two years ago and quickly became a source for community activity and socializing but the recession took it’s toll and restaurants were in the first line of fire for cash strapped residents. Tony and his place are sorely missed.
A long time local favorite with the USC students, Sushi Delight on Adams and Normandy also closed their doors.
